Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone!
Where did that weekend go, I can’t believe it is gone already. The weekend went by so quickly for me with having so much to do but luckily enough I had the chance to do a bit of reading.
Legend by Marie Lu is amazing so far, narrated by both Day and June the reader can learn the plot of the story from two opposite perspectives as June attempts to hunt down Day after he kills her brother. It is exciting, fast- paced and gripping. Definitely something for those that enjoy a good dystopian book as it is set in a futuristic America that is at war with surrounding colonies.
This week you can look forward to the review for Legend as I will be finishing the book in the next few days and starting onto the second instalment of The Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I am really excited to read this book because the first one ended very suddenly. I also haven’t watched any of the movies and am keen to read Catching Fire and then watch the movie accompaniments to see how they presented the story. It would also be nice to get through the entire trilogy before the final movie is released and maybe I can go to the cinema to see it. Has anyone read the books and the watched the movies, if so what did you think? Which was better or were they both equally good?
So far my plan for this week is pretty busy but if I get through both books, I am hoping to read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon and take a break from the dystopian genre. However keep checking back because who knows which direction my reading preferences will head towards the end of the week.
Have a great week!
