Weekend Reads Wrap Up #8

Hello ๐Ÿ™‚

So my weekend went in with a bang, I can barely remember what I accomplished over the past few days because it went so quickly. When I managed to get stuck into my books I had trouble deciding between which one to read because I am enjoying them both, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon and About a Girl by Lindsey Kelk.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon follows a boy dealing with Aspergerโ€™s Syndrome, a form of Autism as he searches for the killer of his neighbourhood dog. I am about half way through this book and I genuinely love it so far. It is such an interesting insight into a character with specific formalities and characteristics and the review for this book will be up in just a few days.

About A Girl by Lindsey Kelk is so far proving to be another great book that is humorous whilst delving into real world situations with female characters. After reading a few of Lindsey Kelkโ€™s books I notice real similarities in her style of writing to that of Helen Fielding and the first Bridget Jones Diary. Light-hearted, funny and a real recommendation for chick-lit lovers, I will have the review for this book up later this week.

This week I am also planning to finally get into the pages of Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins which I am dying to read especially with the movie adaptation being released on DVD over the past few weeks.

Now for the scary part of the post, I am becoming aware that April is just around the corner and a new month is nearly upon us. With this in mind, you lovely followers will have a March Book Haul and a Monthly Wrap Up with updates on my chosen reading challenges to look forward to in the coming week. So keep checking back for new posts and why not leave a comment.

Have a great week!
