As the working week starts again, I think it is made slightly better by the warm sun and the promise of a good summer.
This week will be a great reading week for me as I embark on the second book of The Maze Runner series, The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. I am so excited about getting into the pages of this book because I have no doubt it will be an exciting read.
The Maze Runner was powerfully gripping, exciting and suspenseful. With an unusual plot I was captured in the first few pages so I can’t wait to see what direction the plot will take in the second book. You can read my review of The Maze Runner by clicking on the book title or picture.
I will also be reading the rest of Eragon by Christopher Paolini this week. Again this book feeds my need for the dystopian genre as it engulfs mythical creatures such as dragons, elves and werecats. I have reached a tense part of the plot and it is hard to put the book down for anything other than to make another cup of tea so keep checking back as I hope to have a review up some time this week.
Since I have been quite busy this week I am only going to mention these two books because chances are I won’t get reading more than two. However I have a few more books on the way from my favourite second hand website, Amazon so keep checking back for a book haul in the next few days too.
Have a great week!
