Weekend Reads #18

happy-weekend1

Happy Weekend Readers, I’m sure everyone is glad to see the end of the working week and especially at this time of the year when the sun is out and our days off can be spent lazing in the heat.

This week I am posting Weekend Reads on a Saturday because I wanted to get the Eragon by Christopher Paolini review up yesterday instead so I hope nobody minded. You can check this review out by clicking on the title of the book above.

This weekend I am planning on continuing to read The Scorch Trials by James Dashner, the follow up to The Maze Runner. So far I am engrossed and excited to see what direction the plot takes. I am becoming a huge fan of James Dashner’s work and hope that the quality is consistent throughout the entire series as it feeds my need for dystopian books.

I mentioned in a previous post that I would have a book haul up soon but I am still waiting on some arriving from Amazon but I will hopefully have that up in a few days along with Daily Reads for the week to come.

I can’t believe that we are already nearing the halfway point of the year and yet there are still so many books I want to include in my goodreads challenge. Are any of you readers on track with the books you hope to read for this year? Are you considering increasing or decreasing challenges or trying to read some different genres throughout the rest of the year? I have been considering posting a halfway point post for the reading challenges I have chosen for this year so keep checking back and hopefully I will have that up during next week.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I love the idea of a halfway post. That will help me stay on track!
I’m doing well for my Goodreads challenge; thinking of extending it.
I created my own Historical Fiction challenge which I think needs some more attention from me because I’m just barely ahead of pace! It would be a shame if I didn’t finish my own challenge, haha.
