Welcome back to the working week, here in Northern Ireland, Monday the 14th was technically a bank holiday so many of us were lucky to have today off. I was travelling back home from my lovely weekend away and was glad to have an extra day to gather my thoughts and get my brain back in real life mode. It’s always hard to face reality after a holiday and therefore I know waking up tomorrow morning and getting ready for a day at work will be a struggle.
This week as I fight my holiday blues at least I can distract myself with some reading. With the little amount of time I had to read this weekend I actually managed to surprise myself. I am nearly finished The Elite by Kiera Cass and hopefully can have a review up for that in the next few days. I also started A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness and with such a mysterious plot I can see this book being addictive and easy to read. I also have some work ahead of me this week so I am only going to focus on these two books during the week and maybe add a new one to the mix at the weekend. I suppose it’s a waiting game to see how I feel with everything else going on.
All I can say is that after my mini break over the weekend I cannot wait for my other holiday in a few weeks. A cocktail, a sunbed and a huge stack of books awaits me and as long as I have that to look forward to, any task can be accomplished.
Have a great week readers!
