So July went well for me given that I had a lot of stuff to do at work. In between learning stuff or researching I took some time to relax and get lost in a book. I really enjoyed all the books I read this month and would definitely recommend them to others. In total I read 5 books which were all different in their own rights as well as genres. I did quite well with my July TBR because 4 out of 5 of the books I read were included in it. Hopefully I can continue this success into August. So below I am going to list the books I read and if you want to check out my reviews you can click on the titles or book covers.
So my reading challenges are going well too, back in June I posted a 6-month review of my reading challenges but the past month I have managed to add to them as well. I am past the halfway mark on my goodreads challenge as I have now read 38 of the 60 books I am hoping to read this year. My Chunkster challenge still remains at 7 books and my Freebies challenge hasn’t shifted yet either so they will need more focus in the coming months. However my Dystopian and TBR challenge are well on their way as every book so far that I have read has been on my TBR shelf and my Dystopian reads have amounted to 19 out of the original challenge of between 7 and 12 books.
Though let’s move on to the books I plan on reading in August. However these are up for change depending on how I’m feeling at the time and if any others catch my eye throughout the month. So listed below are the books I would like to read and if you want to check them out click on their titles or pictures.
Now I understand the list above is a bit optimistic given my work schedule and the chances of getting any free time to myself but there is also a Bout of Books coming up this month so I’m hoping it will encourage me to read more. Also the past two months I have read 5 books which is good and I am happy with the total, however I want to do better and read more books each month so I’m hoping that once I’m settled in my job and the summer fades away back into the school year that I will find more time for reading.
So I hope everyone had a great reading month in July and are prepared for August. I will upload a post in a few days about Bout of Books this month, the dates it falls on and the conditions for those wanting to participate so keep checking back.
