Motivation Map – My Read – A – Thon TBR

At the start of the month I uploaded a post called A Little Bit of Motivation which mentioned two read-a-thon’s during the month of October. I am completely in shock that already the time has come for these events to begin and so I must now map my TBR list for the weekend. wonderfully-wicked-readathon-2014

The Wonderfully Wicked Read-a Thon will begin this Friday, 17th of October and will run until the 27th of October which is super exciting because it gives me 10 days of an extra kick in the right direction. I had originally mentioned saving some of my dystopian and spookier reads for this time of the month because it was nearing Halloween, so prepare for my TBR to be littered with unusual worlds and strange beings.

The second event taking place this weekend is Dewey’s Read- A-Thon which is a 24 hour event and one I am excited and slightly scared about. I have never taken part in a 24 hour reading challenge and fear I will fade in the early hours of the morning without the help of a lot of caffeine. Despite this I am definitely willing to give it a go and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

As both of these events fall on the same weekend I will have one TBR list. The reality of me reading more than one book during the 24 hour read-a-thon is slim but I am ruling nothing out. So below is a list of the books I am hoping to tackle between the 17th and the 27th in the hope that the reading challenges will help me excel my expectations for this month. If you want to find out a little bit more about each book just click on the book title or cover. If you have read any of the books I would love to hear your thoughts, as it might encourage me further to read, read, read so please leave a comment below.

The Darkest Minds – Alexandra Bracken

Control – Lydia Kang

Uninvited – Sophie Jordan

If anyone is participating in these read-a-thon’s it might be nice to have a little support along the way so feel free to leave a comment on your progress.
