For all my high hopes of October with its read-a-thons and spooky motivation for reading, I did horribly. My main failing point was starting so many books, getting so far and not finishing them. With this in mind November is going to become hideously packed with catching up with October and trying to finish all the books I started.
October was one of the busiest months of the year for me and I only seemed to realise this with the beginning of each day. It just seemed like there was always something to do and I was cheated out of time with myself. So many people tell me that I need to look after myself or put myself first so I think I will try this in November and schedule time where I can sit down, relax with a book and a nice mug of tea or coffee. I allowed myself some time to do this at the weekend and I was genuinely so happy. Obviously I can’t change the fact I have to work or that there are places throughout the week that I need to be but for unnecessary plans, that time will be devoted to something I want to do.
Therefore, readers I apologise for the lack of reviews in October, however November is a new month and is proving to be a new start for my reading. I am still well on track for my reading challenge on goodreads which now sits at 56 books out of 60. So below is the miniscule list of books I read and reviewed in October.
I hope you all had a successful October and are ready to tackle November, another favourite month of the year for me. It gets colder, extra layers become a necessity and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I love piling on jumpers, scarves, hats and coats. So with the dark evenings marking the perfect time to read, below are some of the books I am hoping to start in November.
Have a great reading month!
