First weekend of the new year and I am excited to have some time off to dedicate to reading, or at least I wish I could cause this weekend despite being off I have a lot of work to do meaning that reading will be on the back burner.
However, this weekend marks the beginning of two read-a-thon’s so I will just have to make some time for reading, even if it’s in bed before I go to sleep. As this weekend is dominated by read-a-thons there will be two separate posts for the read-a-thon TBR’s but I have decided to pick one book that I want to start reading over the weekend. It’s a book I received over Christmas and one I have been looking forward to reading for a long time.
The Tao of Pooh – Benjamin Hoff
I am super excited to read this book because I just love Winnie the Pooh. I grew up in the world of the Hundred Acre Wood and I could without doubt easily name all the characters within 10 seconds. I have seen and most likely own all if not one or two of the movies and there is an assortment of Winnie the Pooh toys throughout the house. However I am a little hesitant that this book will tell me things I don’t want to hear that will make Pooh Bear into some strange character and distort my opinion of him every time I watch the movies or read the books. Then again this is me doing the one thing I hate and judging a book before I read it so I guess I have no option but to turn to the first page and begin the journey.
Wish me luck and have a wonderful weekend!
