The minute I finished this book I experienced some serious sadness, I was in mourning that it was over. P.S. I Still Love You is the second book in the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series. It continues the story of Lara Jean and her dilemma after her love letters are mailed out to the boys she once loved. Spilling her feelings and emotions into her letters, Lara Jean thought they would never be seen by anyone other than her eyes. Then when she is approached by one of the recipients, her nightmare becomes real. Only her master plan to fix everything comes in the form of a tall, handsome and charming boy making things all the more confusing.
The plot across the two books is phenomenal and equally addictive. Both books flow perfectly into each other and intertwine to develop a perfectly flowing story. I found both books to be capturing, where two hours would pass without realising as I was so engrossed in the plot. The writing is easy to read and beautifully written, it flows at a nice speed with the plot.
I loved the characters in this novel, Lara Jean has such a caring, creative and quirky personality that I really liked. I loved all of her outfits, her conversations with her little sister Kitty, her relationship with her dad and her relatable experiences. As well as Lara Jean, I liked Peter’s character; he is handsome, charming and fun reminding me everything a girl would go weak at the knees for. Lara Jean’s little sister, Kitty is a strong young woman that packs a punch for her age. Throughout the plot she makes the serious moments a little lighter with her humorous jabs. Also for her young age she seems very sensible and adds some good advice to the plot.
This book not only follows the relationships of Lara Jean but over the two books she grows in maturity and confidence. It’s nice to see her develop over the plot and become more the person she wants to be as she admires her older sister for her independence, strength and confidence. Lara Jean becomes her own person and as she is one of my favourite characters I felt she made the right decision and became a stronger character towards the end.
I am giving this book a 5 out of 5 on goodreads as I was just addicted to it from the first page. Once I finished the first book in the series I couldn’t wait to start this one as I was left on such a cliff-hanger. I could have read more about Lara Jean and the other characters; it’s a pity the plot didn’t continue over more books as I would have certainly bought them. I seriously recommend this series to everyone, regardless of what you normally read. I have become a serious fan of Jenny Han and can’t wait to read more of her work.
