Happy Halloween Readers,
I hope you have had a great reading week and a spooky one at that. Not only do we have Halloween this weekend but it also marks the end of October and if I’m honest I have no idea where this month has gone. I love October, it’s such a beautiful month and I feel like it has slipped through my fingers.
Anyway I have had a successful reading week with plenty of reviews and updates to come over the next few days not to mention some great books ahead of me this weekend. It’s safe to say I haven’t stuck to my TBR for October, so don’t be surprised if you see some books appearing again over the next few weeks.
This weekend I am going to focus on reading Uninvited by Sophie Jordan. This is a book that has been on my TBR numerous times before and one I am really keen to read but just haven’t got round to for one reason or another. It is very interesting as it follows the story of girl called Davy who tests positive for the kill gene, the gene that says there is a high chance you could or will kill someone. From finding this out she loses her friends, here family, even her parents are afraid of her. The plot looks at her life as she adjusts to this new knowledge and how she finds comfort in the friendship of someone with the same kill gene.
I’m sure you can see why I want to read this, it sounds like a really addictive plot and one I want to get my teeth into, so this weekend is going to be it…finally.
So I hope you have a great weekend, it’s the perfect time of the year for sweeties and a good book!
