Good Morning Readers!
It’s safe to say the Monday blues have kicked in and I am in definite need of a coffee or three. It’s always the hardest day of the week; we’re spoiled with our relaxing Sundays filled with freedom and home comforts before we’re forced to drag our exhausted bodies out of bed and off to work.
Not to worry though cause it’s refreshing to know that you’re not alone in this struggle. I’m holding out for my downtime each evening with my books. Setting aside time to wind down from hectic schedules is what makes each week manageable. Usually I pair my reading time with a relaxing bath before bed so make the time this week, de-stress and get lost in a good book.
Over the next few days I will be continuing with Exodus by Andreas Christensen. This book is a real space adventure and feeds into my love of sci-fi and apocalyptic thrillers. Over the past couple of weeks I have been hooked on dystopian, sci-fi reads and this one is exactly what I need.
If I fancy a change, I’m also hoping to start into French Milk this week which is a graphic novel by Luck Knisley. This is a mother-daughter story set in the beautiful capitol of France, Paris. I can’t wait to see the illustrations and Paris through the eyes of an artist. I’m looking forward to starting this book and hopefully becoming a fan of Knisley, I’m always on the lookout for new graphic novelists.
Well I hope you all have a lovely week and keep on reading.
