So this post is definitely late coming but I haven’t even seen the past few weeks fly in, suddenly it’s March and I don’t know how this has happened. From working so much, planning our wedding and getting my hen do sorted with the bridesmaids my head has been spinning non-stop from the New Year.
Strangely I have tried to keep up with reading; it’s just getting the time to sit down with my laptop and type up a blog post. So below are the books I read in February, reviews are due up in a few days so check back.
Saga Volume 3 – Brian K. Vaughan
French Milk – Lucy Knisley
Wildflower – Drew Barrymore
Amulet: Firelight (Vol.7) – Kazu Kibuishi
The Last Librarian – Brandt Legg
Vicious – V.E Schwab
I am very excited to get stuck into Amulet as I had pre-ordered this book last year and completely forgot with doing so much that it was coming. It arrived through the letterbox and I can’t stop looking at the illustrations, so colourful and beautiful. Exciting adventures are ahead. The best trait of graphic novels is that they are easy to read so it won’t take me long to devour this next volume.
I can’t wait for The Last Librarian by Brandt Legg, anyone who has read previous posts about Cosega Search will know I have been singing this man’s praises and telling everyone I know to read it. Well I received a call from my Granda telling me to download The Last Librarian as it is just as good and follows on from Cosega Shift. I need a fast-paced, exciting book in my life again so I will be setting time aside for this.
Finally anyone who hasn’t read a V.E.Schwab novel needs to stop what they are doing and invest in The Archived. What I would give for another novel in that series, it had me so hooked I lost a few days of my life. I can’t wait to see what is in store with Vicious as I have seen so much on the internet about it and the characters so I have a hunch that I should set aside a day or two for this beauty.
Well readers, keep up the good work and don’t forget to check in for more updates, reviews and posts. It’s good to be back and writing.
