So my daily reads post is a little later than usual this week and I have a good explanation. Apart from Monday being a bank holiday here in the UK and having to work I also went to see Busted on Monday evening with my friends. They were amazing, like the whole concert took me back to being being a child again and although they played for nearly two hours I was genuinely sad to see the concert end.
It was a brilliant night and a late one at that so I just never got round to uploading my daily reads post but better late than never.
This week I will be focusing on wrapping up May and shockingly moving into June. I can’t believe we are heading into the halfway mark of this year. Everything is flying by at lightening speed. This week and weekend I am hoping to get up the last reviews of May and my TBR for June so check back for those.
I will also be finishing off reading A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess which I am still a little wary of. I don’t know what to think of this book, it is strange but I appreciate it as it must have been a landmark release given the time it was written. In saying that I still don’t know what to think of it but I am determined to finish reading it.
I have also started reading The Vegetarian by Han Kang which was recently announced as The Man Booker International Prize. It follows the story of a young woman who develops a vegetarian diet. As a vegetarian myself I am finding this book very interesting and already have a few thoughts about the plot. I am looking forward to writing a review on this in the next few days.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful week, hard to believe it’s already ‘hump-day’, halfway to the weekend. So start of June with a bang and keep on reading!
