So I know there’s usually nothing to be happy about on a Monday as it marks the start of a new week and 5 days of work ahead before the weekend but you can’t help what’s ahead of you and unfortunately Monday’s will keep on coming. The bright side is that we have books to help get through the days and escape reality for a new world and new characters. With such a huge TBR ahead of me I am hoping to spend most evenings this week with my books.
This week I am hoping to spend a lot of time on Emotion Market by Dimitris Chasapis, I haven’t been able to dedicate a lot of time to this book so I want to get into the plot and enjoy it. It follows the Doctor Caroline Emerson who creates a medical miracle; a way to control your emotion and its intensity, however with this ability comes enemies and sceptics. I am looking forward to seeing what direction this plot goes in as it is a very interesting idea and one I haven’t come across before, so I can’t wait to get into this book over the next few days.
Over the weekend I also started reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J Mass which I wasn’t supposed to read this month but a friend mentioned it and made me want to pick it up. I have had this book on my shelves for over 2 years and in that time this book has evolved into a very popular series so I think it is definitely time to pick it up. From what I have read so far I can see why it is so popular, I am definitely hooked on the plot and I cannot wait to see what happens.
In the past few days I have also started reading The Never- Ending Days of Being Dead by Marcus Chown who is no doubt a very smart man. This book makes science accessible and in particular the universe. I have just started reading this and I am really enjoying it, the first section looks at the creation of the universe and the big bang. As a real astronomy enthusiast I am loving this book so far and can’t wait to see what other aspects it will delve into.
So I definitely have a good week of reading ahead of me, I’m already really looking forward to curling up on the sofa and getting into the pages of these books. I hope you have a good reading week ahead of you too and check back for reviews and uploads over the next few days.
