June Wrap Up and July TBR

book

Well goodbye June and hello July and I a gobsmacked that we are into July, the past month has flown by and I can barely see where it’s gone to. I had such a busy month that is has disappeared in a puff of smoke. From concerts and weekends away to finishing up the school year in work and doing activities left, right and centre I’m surprised I had any time at all for my books.

Looking back over the month I am shocked I was able to read at all never mind finishing up 5 books in total. Overall I am on a great run too as the end of June marked the end of the half way mark in the year and this month has set me at a whopping 34 books out of 55 so hopefully I will be able to knock that reading challenge out of the park. If you want to check out my reviews over the past month just click on the book titles or the covers.

So as usual I am being incredibly overconfident this month and have planned to read an obscene amount of books. However this is because on two occasions I made a small TBR list for July and didn’t realise I had already done it, so I technically have two lists of books I want to read and I am finding it very hard to whittle down. I really want to read all of these books, even if it a huge task over the next month but because I want to read them all I can’t decide between them. So below is my monstrous reading list for the month of July and maybe, just maybe I will make my way through even half of it. If not there is always August…

First and foremostly I am currently finishing up Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell which I am hoping to have a review up for this week. Secondly I am finishing up The Never Ending Days of Being Dead by Marcus Chown which is such a difficult read to finish in one sitting. It is very heavy on science and I keep reflecting after each chapter so I think this is something I will be reading in small sections over the next month. I have been reading it in parts throughout June but I don’t want to rush this book because it is so though-provoking and covers so many topics I am interested in from the fields of physics and astrophysics.

Below are the other books I hope to read in July and even if I don’t get through it all I’m hoping to start most of them because I am so excited to read them

The Da Vinci Code – Dan Brown

Da VInci

World War Z – Max Brooks

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit – Judith Kerr

So I hope you all have a wonderful month of reading ahead of you. Remember we have just passed the halfway mark for the year so check out your reading challenges and see if you’re on route to completing it. There’s still plenty of time to tackle it and if you’re like me I’m going to have to head back to January and see what I had set myself in the way of challenges and see if I’m hitting my targets. Wish me luck!
