Happy Monday Readers!
I had quite a productive reading weekend and managed to finish reading Nika by D.H.Gibbs. It was a free book I received on Kindle and I normally have my hesitations but I found this book to be very intriguing and I enjoyed reading it; so much in fact that I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I will be posting the review for this book this week so check back if you are interested.
This week I will be continuing reading my books from the weekend. I will nearly be finished with When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr which is just a marvellous read and so innocent through the eyes of a child. I particularly enjoy reading it and how it is set in Germany, Switzerland and France giving a view of life in each country during the Second World War.
I have also started to read The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Suprisingly it’s a book that I wanted to pick up when it came out but back then I was in school and found it difficult to read other than during the summer when I didn’t have so much work. With the news of it being printed again but in a more teenage-friendly style I just knew I had to finally read it. From I started it I have been struggling to put it down because it is so captivating and I am bursting to know what happens next…despite having seen the movie.
Finally if given the chance this week I really want to start World War Z by Max Brooks. I have talked about this book so much over the past few weeks and how it has been on my TBR and I just really want to read it. I am especially intrigued because of the astronaut on the International Space Station looking down at the Earth going through this pandemic of sorts. Hopefully I will get the chance to even read the first few pages.
Once again I have an interesting reading week ahead of me, I am making a steady start into my July TBR so let’s just hope I can up the pace over the next few days.
