Weekend Reads #86

Happy Weekend Readers!

I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time as I am spending some time with friends. I have been off most of the week but it’s so nice to do something on the weekend as well. Although Saturday I’m a bit busy with things I hope to spend some time on Sunday reading, without jinxing things I have read quite a few books this month so far starting off the year well. However I don’t want to lose this streak so I want to keep motivating myself to read as much as I can when I can.

lyrebird

This weekend I will be starting Lyrebird by Cecelia Ahern, the author of P.S. I Love You which is one of my favourite reads. I don’t know a lot about Lyrebird other than it’s about a young woman brought from the countryside to the city and how her life changes. It’s also set in Ireland which I always enjoy, there’s something nice about a book taking place in towns or cities you’ve visited. I am looking forward to reading this book as I haven’t read a Cecelia Ahern novel in years and I have always enjoyed her work.

shiver

Finally after finishing The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater I want to read more by this author so I think I am going to pick up Shiver. Again I don’t know what this book is about but I am intrigued, I hadn’t realised The Raven Boys was a paranormal read but it wasn’t long before I was hooked. This book was amazing and immediately had me interested in the author so I think I will be exploring other work starting with Shiver.

Well I hope you have a good weekend and don’t forget to check back, there are many reviews going up next week!
