Weekend Reads #87

Happy Friday Readers!

How sad I am working this weekend but I suppose that’s the price you pay for having some time off last week. I don’t mind too much though as it’s the last weekend in January and I have a new February TBR to look forward to.

This weekend I want to pick a quick read and get one final book into my January reads and therefore I have chosen the beautiful Poor Unfortunate Soul by Serena Valentino. Once again it is a Disney novel looking at a villain and their back story. It is the last book in the series so far and one I have been particularly excited to read because I have heard so many good things about it. As I am sure you can guess this one is about Ursula from The Little Mermaid, a movie I haven’t seen fully in years probably not since I was younger. The thoughts of even reading this book make me want to watch the movie all over again. However I cannot wait to see what Ursula’s back story is because it’s a villain whose previous life I cannot guess or presume. I had a rough idea with The Beast Within and Fairest of All but with this book I am in the dark.

With the Disney books they are only around 200-250 pages in length and therefore easy to read in one sitting. Although I would love for the books to last longer I struggle with setting them down once I start and can’t help whizzing through the story in one go.

Other than the book mentioned I will be spending this weekend trying to finish up the books I have started this month and getting my February TBR list reading to go. I have no idea what to pick for next month as I have so many book and so little time making it a tough decision, either way I can’t wait to get started. So don’t forget to check back in a few days when my January Wrap up and February TBR will be heading up.

Happy Reading!
