Hey Readers,

Everybody needs a little motivation to get them going and this month we are lucky to have 3 readathons to help us along the way. Below is some information for the readathons such as dates, times and themes. If you click on the name or picture you can get more information on their sites.

readatheme

Kick off the month with a poetry readathon tomorrow. This readathon has the particular theme of poetry, now don’t hesitate if this isn’t your favourite genre or one that you fully understand. This readathon could give you the chance to try something new whilst discussing your chosen read with fellow participants. You can find this readathon on twitter, booktube and on goodreads so check it out soon as it’s starting tomorrow.

AYearAThon (Retellings) – Monday 6th February – Sunday 12th February 2017

ayearathon

One week away is the AYearAThon Readathon and this month’s theme is retellings. If you head over to their goodreads page you can get recommendations and even join their group read for Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I have been dying to read this book so I’m tempted to download it on my kindle and join the read.

Bookentine Monday 13th February   Monday 20th February 2017

A great readathon that focuses on contemporary novels which they have defined as ‘A contemporary YA novel is a story about a teenage character that takes place in our current time and deals with the concerns of modern day life.’ It runs over Valentine ’s Day but doesn’t require the reader to focus on romances. There are also extra challenges included in this readathon;

  • A book with a red and/or pink cover
  • A book by an author you haven’t read before
  • A book featuring a mental illness or disability

Head to their page now to get more information and recommendations for the challenges mentioned above.

Good Luck readers!!
